Ellgibility Criteria and Age Limit

Minimum Age: 16 years as on 31-12-2025
Maximum Age: No upper age limit

For Admission into 3-years Diploma in Engineering and Technology courses in State Government Polytechnics of Assam for the session 2025-26, the candidate must pass the H.L.S.C. or equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects in a single sitting (without grace marks in Science and Mathematics) and also have to pass individually in both theory and practical/Internal Assessment with minimum:

• 40% marks on Average in Mathematics and Science for General/OBC/MOBC candidates.
• 35% marks on Average in Mathematics and Science for SC candidates.
• 33% marks on Average in Mathematics and Science for ST candidates.
• As per candidates own caste/category for PwD

Application Fee:- For Counselling & Admission Process for admission into the State Government Polytechnics of Assam
Rs 300/- [plus bank charges as applicable]

Note: Permanent Resident Certificate [PRC]/ Caste Certificate/ for OBC/MOBC (Non Creamy Layer Cerificate)/ valid EWS Certificate is mandatory at the time of admission.
